The Coupon Stacking Checklist
Stacking works only when each offer permits the others. Check the rules before building the cart.
Separate the offer types
Identify store coupons, manufacturer coupons, automatic promotions, promo codes, loyalty rewards, card-linked offers, and post-purchase rebates. Two offers that look different may still occupy the same coupon slot under the retailer’s rules.
Check restrictions first
- Eligible product, size, color, and seller
- Minimum purchase before or after other discounts
- Expiration time and time zone
- One-per-account, one-per-order, or one-per-item limits
- Whether rewards are earned on discounted merchandise
Build the cart in a stable order
Add the exact eligible item, activate required store or account offers, enter the promo code, and verify the subtotal. Treat rebates as separate until they are approved; a promised rebate is not the same as a checkout discount.
Save evidence
Keep screenshots of the offer terms, cart, and confirmation until every reward posts. If a stack fails, remove one element at a time rather than repeatedly rebuilding the entire order.
Sniffer rule: The only valid stack is the one shown in the final order summary and permitted by every offer’s terms.
